Roadmaster active syspension problem
After about a year on the F150 the left spring broke, probably laying in the street some where. Did anyone have a set that failed? Do you think there would be any problem leaving only one spring installed while I get a replacement spring?
Thanks,

wabelita..... Did the truck leaf spring break or the Roadmaster spring break?
Or was it the center shaft on the Roadmaster that broke? If this is the case, maybe the spring was preloaded too much, or not enough.
As a concerned Roadmaster owner I'ld like to know too.

Sorry to worry anyone, it was the Roadmaster spring that broke, not the truck’s leaf spring. When I looked the only thing still there was the “L” bracket on top of the leaf spring. I assume the hex bolt snapped and the whole spring came off. The pre-load was set according to the instructions. The set that was installed was the heavy-duty set made for F250 & 350 trucks. I was told that it could be used on an F150 as well. I am calling Roadmaster today.

Wayne,
Sorry to heard what happen, but I would be surpriesed if the guys at Roadmaster don't go out of their way to help you. The local shop that install my kit didn't install it right and Roadmaster paid for me to go to another shop and have them to re-install the kit at not charge...now that's customer service.
I have the same setup as you do. I have the heavier spring designed for the F250 but was told that it would work just fine on my F150, which it has.
