Fabtech 3.5" 2wd Spindle Lift

Has anyone installed Fabtech’s 3.5 spindle lift themselves?
Is it a hard project?

my buddy did his and he said the front wasn't too bad, but the blocks in the back took a long time and were kinda tuff because you have to jack it up so high

You will want to look at two posts on this board titled "Securing Rear Blocks" and "Installing lift Spindles and Blocks." You can do the job yourself and save a bunch of money...believe me on this because I did it will little to no skills when it comes to working on my truck. Yes the blocks are pain to install but much easier than installing an add-a-leaf spring. I install the Procomp 3" Spindle and Fabtech 1.5" block in the rear for a level look. You will probably want to go with a 2" block in the rear since you are going with Fabtech 3.5" spindle. I was an unbeliever, but the lift spindle and blocks will maintain your factor ride, if not improve it with the wider stance on the front and new shocks. I waited for a year reading every post on spindles trying to decide between a suspension lift vs. body lift. I wanted the height, but I did not want to affect the ride. The spindle lift looks much better to me than the body lift and people will notice your 2WD when you go down the highway and at stop lights because of the level appearance and it sets a little higher that a stock 4X4. I am running 265x75x16 tires but can easily run 285x75x16 tires...plenty of room. My tires are too new at this point to justify switching at this time...maybe later.

Good luck...you will be pleased with the spindle setup.
