Left side bed lower than right

Just purchased 1999 F-150 Reg Cab, and Ilove the truck. Just wondering why the left side of the bed sits 1 inch lower than the right side. Tires are the same height and shocks seem to be good. Does anybody know what is causing this problem and how to fix it.

Your gas tank sits on that side, if you have a full tank it will sink that side due to the weight. The Chevy Silverados and Tahoes have the same problem.

If you do a search you should find a number of posts about this problem. I plan to get my truck to a local spring shop sometime and have them install another leaf. This is one of the situations where something that's considered normal looks really bad. I don't know why design engineers think people like driving trucks that don't have adequate springs.
