Shock--In front of or behind axle??

I've noticed the SuperCrew trucks have the staggered shocks in the back with the passenger side in front of the axle, which is how it is on my '02 SCrew. My dad's '01 supercab has both shocks behind the axle BUT, it has all the mounting locations to put the passenger side in front of the axle like mine. We are both getting shocks for christmas and I know he is going to want to set it up like mine. Has anyone done this? Do you know if it will make a difference swapping them around like that? I had heard it's staggered on the SCrew's for wheel hop. Wonder why it's only on the SCrew's and not the other trucks? Wonder what would happen if I put them both behind the axle on my SCrew just for looks??? Sorry for soo many questions guys. Thanks for the help.

Put them anywhere you can....it will help it in the handeling dept.

I noticed a BIG difference when i installed my dual shock setup.

Take care.

You put yours everywhere Maybe a little overkill for the average truck. Extra shocks will stiffen the ride.
