My 2000 F-150 5.4 S/C had springs under the front, I got a new 2003 F-150 5.4 SCrew and it doesn't have springs under the front, whats up with that? Also it looks like the front suspension only has like an inch maybe an inch and a half of travel to the bump stops.

 

The 4x4's have torsion bars, that's why you've read about people "cranking" their bars to raise or level the front.
