Hey guys, got a couple ?'s about everything pretty much..

Yea i'm a noob and I know everyone hates 'em so, I'll just get it out of the way now. My name is Wes. I am looking to buy a Ford truck. I am thinking early to mid 90s. I want to lift the truck! I will off road this truck every weekend when i'm not at the drag strip with my mustang.. I was thinking about a 6" susp. lift and a 3" body lift. Not sure what brands or what else besides tires I will need. Yea I will put gears in it too. So what i'm asking pretty much is what set-up would you do if you were me? What year f150 or f250 or what? I will be getting a 351cid, if it is a f150. Please help me out here. Yea it will be 4wd. What gears is everyone using in the 7-9" lifted trucks? I don't want any lil girls gears. I have 4.10s in the stang and kickin myself for doing that instead of 4.30s or 4.56s. Aight guys thats all I can think of for now. Sorry for being so long and all that crap. Thanx guys really appreciate it.

BTW...I know some of you guys have stangs so if you wanna see any pics or anything just lemme know.

Wes

your gearing will depend onwhich tire size you go with. for example, a 33" tire goes good with 4.10's, a 35" tire with 4.56's, and so on. what type of wheeling are you planning on doing? trails? mud?

Yea, thats what I figured. I was probably gonna go for 38s. With a 7-9" total lift. Is going this high stupid unless it's for looks? I will be doing mud and trails. Pretty much everything. What all will I need? Thanx guys.

Wes

Maybe 4:88 or 5:13 if your ging to be running 38inch tires which I think is about where you would be with that height.
