shocks in storage

Hi Everyone,
Love this site. Not enough time in the day to read all the great info.
If a rig has been up on jacks (inside for the last 5 years), should not the shocks and other suspension parts still be in great shape? Truck has 8765 miles on it. Thanks for any sugestions regarding this.

If anything in the suspension went bad, I would tend to think it would be the shocks. The internal seals & o-rings might be pretty hard with no movement in 5 years.

Was it fired up from time-to-time? If not, you might also have some seals in the engine/trans and possibly axle that are dried out too.
