FX4 Ride

I totaled out my 99 Sport this winter in sort of a nasty roll over and replaced it with a 02 Fx4, but find that the ride is less than desireable. I get a sort of a body roll feel over bridge overpasses at 75 mph and a bit of excessive wheel bounce at various speeds.

Anyone out there know if this is normal? I'm about ready to get rid of the Rancho shocks and get something different again.

I have the same truck as you do but haven't noticed the problem. I found that the stock shocks were very stiff when new but have softened a little after breaking in. The only bouncing I get is when going over speed bumps in parking lots. It does seem to make the rear bounce more than you expect.

I just hit 5000 miles on mine and have not noticed any problems with the suspension. It is firm, but I do not notice any bounce. I have taken the truck into the back country and drive it at speed around Houston and it has felt stable in all conditions. I do not have a cap though, so I can't say whether that extra weight might cause a difference in the ride. I hope you figure it out so that you can enjoy the ride.
