Differential, Ring and Pinion places near Houston?
Differential, Ring and Pinion places near Houston?
I already called 4wp and I live close to Pyle Brothers in Baytown. So i've got two quotes, one $1400, one $1650 to swap front and rear to 4.56 in my truck. I was hoping some of yall knew some other places to do the swap....thanks guys
the final quote from 4wp was $1415.62, with everything drive out for both axles. The front takes more time than the back cause it is harder to get to and its a little different setup (reversed-cut gear) but i imagine just the rear will set you back between $650-750. B&C charges a flat rate of $1350 for front and back. They might have a better price for ya...its in pasadena...

BigBad....
I had Houston Drivetrain quote me around $1,200, complete for my 9.75 rear and 8.8 front. Not bad considering, but still hard to swallow.

ok well heres what i've found...
Pyle Brothers - $1600 ( 90 day labor, limited lifetime parts warranty)
Houston Drivetrain - $1100-1150 (60 day labor, limited lifetime parts warranty)
B&C offroad - $1350 ( 90 day labor, limited lifetime parts warranty)
4Wheel Parts - $1415 (60 day labor and parts warranty)
Right now its between B&C and Houston Drivetrain...houston drivetrain offers the best deal and they've been around since the 70s but i've never heard of em, andtheir warranty is a little shorter, but once again its a lot cheaper (relatively)...B&C is a place i really trust, but they are a little more expensive...but their warranty is better, only by 30 days tho...
I dont know what to do! Someone help!

If you really trust B&C, I'd go with them. The piece of mind knowing you're getting a good job done is worth the extra cash. Maybe if you mention what Houston Drivetrain is offering to do the same job, they may meet their price or cut their's a little more. Never hurts to ask.
