Unhappy Leaf Springs

I need assistance.
Two days ago my rear left leaf spring set snapped in two. I read there was a recall for this matter although that will not solve my problem. My question is this-are the leaf springs on a (1998 2wd single cab short bed) truck any different than earlier model Ford trucks or Broncos? I need to buy used ones, or something. It sounds like a lame question-but i am pennyless at the moment and need my truck operational. Please assist me with any information, thank you.

Yes, they are different. The 97 (new body style) and newer 1/2 Tons use 2.5" wide leaf springs. The 96 and olders use 3" wide. Did the entire pack snap in two, or just the main leaf?

Recalls are usually fixed for free regardless of warranty.
Didn't see one for this, however.
