20's with a 3/4 drop. Enough Clearance????

I am kind of concerned, I have ordered some 20x8.5 wheels and plan on 275/45/20. I am currently in a deal to get a Belltech 3/4 drop kit. The roads around here a decent, but not perfect. Will I have any issue with rubbing or bottoming out. I dont want to be cutting up tires.
Please any comments would be great.

I have heard of a few people doing the 2/4 drop with the harley davidson 20s which are 1/2 in wider with the same size tire. so, im pretty sure you wont have a problem. i also no someone with after market 20s. and they have 3/5 drop or something like that. so i dont think you should have any problems.

Thanks for the info steve. If I do gett some rubbing on the front , I will just have to swap out the front springs so no biggy. I just dont think that 2in on the front is enough.

When is it ever enough?

Hey Nitro,

Your rolling diameter is changing only about 1/4", so you should be ok. I am planning to use the same setup as you in the future, so let us know how it turns out!

20's with a 4/6 drop

I am running 20 x 9.5 wheels, just ordered DJM Suspension 4/6 drop. After seeing this post I am starting to wonder myself if my tires will be rubbing. Unfortunatly I live in Michigan and to my knowlegde we have the worst roads in the country. Anyone know if this kit will give me troubles.

Joni Nitro the cover is good but when it rains it tends to puddle up the water in certain spots but its the only one I have seen that can prop up...

bennett399 you may have to cut your wheel wells out for the lower drop but other than it you should be okay.

cutting the wheel wells out is probably the last thing i want to do, i hope i am not getting myself in over my head.....i am a daily driver, and cutting the wells out would expose the engine to rain and debris, which is not a good thing. hmmm, we will have to see i suppose. are there any other suggestions other then cutting the wheel wells outs?

Bag it...then you could adjust your height for driving or show. I plan on doing it to mine during the winter..

i realize i can bag it, but i am a college kid and scraping my money together to do this. the kit i have is the DJM 4inch drop in the front and 6 inch drop in the back, it comes with upper and lower control arms, front coil springs, and a rear flip kit.

how much extra would it cost to bag it on all four corners? just guessing, i think it would cost close to an extra grand for the bags, compressor tank, and labor. the kit i got was 700 bucks.
