Anyone know the wrench size for a shock change?

Must be 18, 19, or 20 MM! - or something like that.

Changing all 4

WHOOPS dumb me - 98 4.6 2wd.

thanx

I needed a 15mm and 18mm for the fronts, and 18mm for the back on my SD.

Yep back is an 18mm, sort of tough to get to, too. I put a 18mm deep well on mine and got it stuck when I loosened them up. Had to break em loose with the deep well make a few turns one click at a time and finish up with a box-end wrench. Not sure on the front but a 15mm sounds about right. Also, watch some aftermarket shocks use SAE nuts, I know Rancho does.

The front uppers are NOT 18mm - might be 19, or 20.

The lowers look like 15.

Rears are done - all 18mm

If I remember right, the front uppers were 20 or 21mm. My replacement shocks (Monroe Reflex) were a different size, so check those too. Lowers were a 15mm. I didn't have the right deep well socket for the top so I ended up using a wrench. Took way too much time on these.

Rears were done with an 18mm deep well.

Get shocks anywhere else but the dealer - cheaper and better quality to boot.
