RS9000 Install Question

I feel silly asking this, but I cannot figure it out. I installed my new RS9000 shocks on our SuperCrew, all went well. My only question is, what is the red tie-wrap for that comes with each shock? Does it hold the boot on somehow, I noticed some holes in each boot, does this have something to do with them. There were no installation instructions in any of the boxes. I figured installing shocks was pretty straight forward. Thanks

Not silly !! You pull the large end of the boots over the shock a little bit and then use the red tie to hold it in place. The holes are so the air can escape as the boots accordion up and down.

Thanks Max, that's what I kind of had in mind, but wasn't sure. Thanks again.
