rear sway bar

I need to put a rear sway bar on my '97 and was wondering if Hellwig was the best way to go. I was also wondering who the best supplier would be.

The Hellwig is the most economical for the performance offered. The Hotchkiss matching set is phenomenal, but the wallet raping is harsh. Most companies that sells HP truck parts sells these. The lowest price that I found was at J.C.Whitney. They put them on sale every few months or so. I paid $109 for the rear and $119 for the front. The only tricky part of the install is mounting the axle saddle brackets in the correct position to get the bar to clear the ABS sensor casting on the top of the axle housing. This is achieved by pointing the U-bolt threads toward the 2 o'clock position looking at the side of the passenger's side rear wheel.

cool, thanks. How do you like those RS9000's? I'm thinking about putting my Edlebrocks in the trash can where they belong and getting those if they have a legnth that works with my 3/4 drop.

Thumbs up chrisg914-

You're Welcome !! RS9000s = awesome. They are completely overbuilt and the adjustable feature is handy. After you tinker around with the settings, you can pretty much leave the front in the desired setting. The rears can be changed based on rear loads quickly which interests me.

the rs 9000's are great but I don't think you can use them with any kind of drop. The Rancho website only refers to 0 lift and then lift.

good luck!
