Exclamation HELP!!!!!!body lift frame problem

I just had a 3" body lift installed by a local off road shop, and where the front tow hooks used to be, there is an ugly piece of the frame sticking out, on both sides. I have read in the forums that a lot of you have done a body lift, and was wondering what you used to mask this problem? Oh yeah 99 f150 xlt sport 4x4 extended cab, if that matters. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. One more question, on the k&n fipk for my model truck, is their any noticable power increase with the intake tube, or should I just go with the filter? thanks again chris

Haven't seen a single truck with a body lift that did something about those frame pieces. Yes they are the worse part about the lift. I honestly don't really care but I have had a few people point it out to me, so I guess it is pretty noticeable.

some have cut the frame bars in front of the valence, but if you do that, won't be able to use your tow hooks anymore
