Sagging left rear on SuperCrew....

My 2001 SuperCrew has started to sit lower in the left rear. It is at least 1" lower than the right rear. This was measured from the ground to the shackle bolt and varies some. Fuel tank level doesn't have any effect. Is this due to spring fatigue and is there an effective and economical way to correct it? I would prefer not to take it to my dealer. They tend to do more harm than good.
