Need help deciding on lift kit

Ive got a 01 supercab 4x4ORP. I want to find a lift kit in the 2-3" range and i really want to keep my factory 17" wheels and AT/S tires. Thats the reason i dont want a 4" or more lift. Does anyone know of a 2" lift kit? I know ive seen 3" kits that could probably be turned down a bit with the torsion bars. I dont want to spend much money and the ultimate find for me would be a 2 or 3" "front only" kit and i could make up the difference in the rear with stuff we have here at the shop.

Also, does anyone have any pictures with lift kits and factory wheel/tires (265/70/17)

thanks

jeff

Thumbs up Sounds like you're looking for a body lift.

If I'm not mistaken you can get a 2" body lift or a 3" kit. I have the 3" kit on mine but I also have a suspension lift. Hope this helps.

naw, i dont want to lift the body, i dont want to have a gap between the frame and bed, bumpers having a gap.... fan shroud not lining up, hoses stretched, ... Plus working on these at the dealership like i do, ive seen some NVH problems associated with body mounts too.

The only other thing i think you could do is raise the torsion bars

they are turned up all the way already, i was figuring on having to get a 3" susp. lift if thats all i can find and assuming that the 3" is with the torsion bar adjustment in the middle, actually turning them down a inch or so to get a 2" lift.
