got any pics of your truck? i want to see the difference between body mounted vs frame mounted nerf bars on a truck with a body lift. thanks for the help!

 

I may be wrong, but back in 1999 the nerf bar mfgs were starting to switch to body mounted nerf bars. Frame mount were not an option with some mfg. Prior to 1999 almost all were frame mounted. Basicly its old trucks = frame mount, new trucks = body mount.

i put new nurf bars on my truck when i bought it [97].they were frame mount. they had a 5 year no rust warrenty on them. well they rusted and when they replaced them they gave me the body mount nerfs. looks alot better with the lift.

 

After I did my lift, I couldn't get a definite word whether the Westins were body or frame mounted. Some owners had frame and others has body mounted. I stuck with the Ford nerf bars for the safe side. I didn't want to ship them to AK and find out they're frame mounted. Personally, I think the frame mounted nerf bars look too low on a body lift.
