Question Roush suspension

A buddy of mine works for performance shop locally, and they've had another F-150 owner cancel his order on the Roush suspension kit. Even in giving me a deal, this thing is god-awful expensive, but he insists that it's the best drop kit out there.

So, I turn to you all. Anybody have any experience with this kit? I like the 3"/3.5" drop, but I'm not sure that I want to spend that much.

Any likes or dislikes?

well by my name you can tell i like the ROUSH name...i have the suspension on my truck and have had no problems ..the performance is pretty kick *** too..if your going to install it yourself its 100 times easier than the other kits out there..you only have to change out the front springs &shocks ..and the rear leafs and shocks...instead of the hangers and shackles which really suck to do..i say go for it but i 'm only one opinion..money is always an issue too..

Roushfan is right in not having to swap the leaf spring hangar. Thats a definite plus. Don't know what kind of price your getting, but according to the roush web site, www.roushperf.com, it retails for $1175.00. Still I'd love to have it. If your getting a decent price and your buddy is going to install it, I'd say you can't go wrong. I belive you'd be getting quality parts since they are factory warranted by ford (when installed by roush).
Bilstien shocks I believe. If cash were not an issue that would be the system for me.

Why can't I have buddies that cuts me deals

Wondering about those leaf springs myself. All the parts are still in the box, and he doesn't want to break the seal should I NOT by it. Can't blame him.
Anyway, figured this was the best place to start. He's willing to cut me a deal because I've already told him the other stuff I want to do.
Brembo GT rotors and 4 piston calipers. Those gold-cadmium rotors are almost 14", and they look amazing.
I also am saving for the ATI Procharger, I figure that having an awesome brake system and a great suspension put on beforehand will make the transition to more power less hairy.

the roush susp. lowers the fornt 3" and the 3 1/2". so the leafs do replace both hanger and shackle. i guess you could use a hanger with it and get 5 1/2" if you wanted. with that come a nice price tag

Smile

If you don't get it, later on when you've got all the other mods your going to say "Damn, wish I had bought that Roush pkg when I had the chance" and then your going turn around and pay full price for it When all is said and done, your going to have one bad a$$ truck.
