Truck Ride Height adjustment / Pulling

I picked up my 1999 Expedition EB 4x4 from the dealer today. I had complained that the left side of the truck was lower than the right. The service tech stated that they adjusted the ride height. The truck now seems to pull to the right. The steering wheel also is off center to the right.

Any ideas what / how the ride height is adjusted? Would this cause the pulling?

Thanks,

Alex

I'm guessing that they adjusted the left hand torsion bar to get the left side even with the right. Adjusting the torsion bars require an alignment, but if they adjusted only the lh torsion bar, they probably created a larger than acceptable difference between the lh and rh caster, and that's why it's now pulling to the right. I'm sure the camber and toe have been affected, but I believe the pulling is more associated with the caster. If you had this adjustment done under warranty, they should align it for free.

Talked to the dealer. Their tech states that changing the ride height via the torsion bar would not affect the alignment... They say I would need a caster kit to correct the pulling.

I don't remember this before the changes...

My next step is to talk to another dealer..

That tech is either ignorant or lying to you. Just the fact he said you need a cam bolt kit is admitting you need an alignment, as you cannot align your truck without them.
