Question How to fix my spindle?

I was cutting off the rotors on my F150 and I accidentaly cut into the spindle where the caliper anchor bolts to the spindle. OOOOPS!!! I was wondering if there were any other alternatives to replacing it...ie. weld?

WOOPS!

Sorry, but I would NOT trust a repiar to any part of a spindle, unless you couldn't source it. i.e. OBS/NLA.

Bite the bullet and buy another spindle. Boneyard? Moog? or some other aftermarket manufacturer. Tlak to some of the local independant parts stores. They are usually well connected (except maybe some of the younger parts people) and may know of someone with parts around town.

Hope this helps.

Tony

If I wasn't trying to get my *** back to school for a Masters I'd lift it. Yeah...I know the best thing to do is just replace it. I found a spindle off an Expedition here for 125 bones. Gonna call Ford first, see what a new one would run me. Thanx for the help.

Hello 88blkgtstang, I also think the boneyard is your best bet.

BTW, I'm curious to know what kind of tool you used to make such a thin slice through your rotor and spindle?

Thanx in advance.
