DOES ANYONE HAVE THE RANCHO 9000 SHOCKS ON THEIR TRUCK? IF SO, HOW DO THEY HANDLE OFF ROAD/ON ROAD?

Thumbs up Got them.

Got them and they're great. I haven't done any serious off roading with them but on the road and towing they're great. Hope this helps.

Cool

WOLVERINE:

Greetings, I have the RS9000 on my truck with the RS5000 steering stabilizer. They are totally awesome! I was doing some hunting last weekend during a major thunderstorm and they performed very well. Had them set on 1 (soft ride) for the highway trip and got to the deer lease and cranked them up to 5 (took about 1 min).

Climbed a really big hill covered in loose sand and mud with big bumps all the way up and it felt great. I can't say enough good things about these shocks. I didn't really NEED them, but I sure do enjoy having them.

I set them back to 1 just to see how they perform, since I don't do really hard core high speed offroad runs. I usually just easy around in some rough stuff and they were great set on 1. Felt like a 4wheel drive sportscar...

They are easy to put on and give a great feel, I love them with my MTRs. There are not many places I won't take my truck through with this setup. As a mater of fact I took that hill two times in 2wheel drive just to see if I could. I had to keep the speed up, but she made it. FORD really makes a darned good offroad vehicle...

If there is anything I can answer just shout...

Thanks NativeTexasHunter. I'll do just that! I'll also buy me a set of those Rancho 9000's. Just thought I would ask around about them. And thanks for the info. Oh, by the way, what's the best deer you've killed so far.

Whats the best deer I have killed? I don't really trophy hunt, I actually go for the meat and a good time. I have hunted a ton in Arkansas and East Texas.

Arkansas: A 10 point monster that lived in a swamp, was the hardest hunt I have ever had and the biggest rack. The meat was fair to midland...

East Texas: Got an 8 point last year with a really nice rack, had the best meat I have ever tasted. Those east Texas deer raid the sweet potatoe and pea fields and it really makes for some good eatin meat. The temperature was 18 degrees and it must have flash frozen the meat after I cleaned it. I sure hope I can get one like that again.

So far this year is a bust, we have seen very little activity and only 4 and 5 point bucks, its been too darned hot I am thinking.

Next year I will hunt East Texas (family land and all that), but I am looking into finding a lease in Oklahom/Kansas border or maybe one down in South Texas in the golden triangle. I hear they growem really big down there...

Good Luck,
