According to their ad in truck magazines an 8" to 13" kit is "coming soon" for 97-01 2wd F150's at 1799.00. I've seen this ad for about 3 months now, so you might want to give them a call or email for more detailed info.

That's supposed to be whiplash's website, but it's not coming up right now. As far as those tires, I just ordered 4 more today from 4 wheel parts. They are supposed to be in Monday. I had only bought one tire and wheel last week to make sure that it would fit plus I would keep it as a spare. With additional trimming of the valance and the rear part of the plastic fender well, the tires will fit fine on the street. There might be a little rubbing on compressed turns off road, but there will be little of that, off roading that is. What probably helps the fitment is the fact that I am running a 1 inch coil spacer with the long travel kit plus the long travel kit increases your front track a total of about two inches, keeping the tires further out. Plus I still have the option of fiberglass fenders for more clearance. I hope to have them installed by Wednesday, just need to make an alignment appointment immediately after the tires get mounted.

y2kboti, please explain "whipcrash" I have had no suspension problems besides defective 12mm wheel studs breaking going 60mph, which, in turn, sent my 40" right-front tire off into the trees going 60 mph. Even with the impact of my right-front suspension slamming the ground and me slamming on the brakes to get her slowed down Whiplash's kit didn't show one sign of letting go. I got it into a median without so much as coming close to flipping, maybe you should rethink your views on Whiplash.

Kelly no offense to you or your truck but I have seen enough Whiplash trucks at the college I attend to know how bad they are IMO. Don't get me wrong your truck looks good; I can appreciate a lifted Phord as much as I do a Chevy, or Chebby as you guys say. To explain the whole Whipcrash thing....lets just say some of the owners have had problems and thats why we refer to them as Whipcrash. Glad to hear you are okay after the broken studs. Why did they break? Offset, to tight, heavy wheel/tire combo, etc? Why?

The studs were stretched at one point from what I can gather, the wheel offset was also a contributing factor on those little 12mm studs, I shouldn't have any more troubles with the 14mm's though. Whiplash may have had some bugs in their kit but I respect that they gaurantee their parts and will replace them at no cost. They are doing well now and just recieved full liability insurance so you their kits will finally start to get out there. It's tough to be the only company out their with lifts this size for IFS trucks but with their upcoming 13" lifts for the super duties and such I can gaurantee they will have more business soon from height crazy people like me.

Kelly I definately think the offset had something to do with the lugs breaking. As far as Whiplash goes there is probably a reason more companies don't offer larger lifts. Thats the way I look at it. And as far as them getting, "ull liability insurance" I'm not so sure thats a good thing.
