I put on the Fabtech 3.5" spindles in my driveway. It wasnt hard just time consuming. The instuctions were pretty clear and staight forward. However I did run into 2 problems with my install, the first was installing a spacer that is supplied with the kit. This spacer goes between the snap ring and the lower control arm, there wasnt enough room to get both the spacer and the snap ring on, my thought is the ball joint wasnt seated properly from the factory (because the other side went on without a problem) Anyhow with just the right amount of persuasion I got it on. The second problem was the ABS sensor, it wasnt clearing the sensor ring so I had to add some shims to get the clearance right. Other than these two small things I thought the install was pretty easy and I was able to mount up some 285 75 16s with only a minor trim to the lower front valance. So if you have a little wrench knowledge go for it, its well worth the results.
Hey flesh7, a spindle lift is pretty easy. If you've ever done front brakes before, the project is only a couple of extra steps. Mine is a fabtech 3.5" spindle lift, and I did it myself on the street (well, not the middle of the street, but next to the sidewalk.) I'm running 285/75R16's with no rubbing and no trimming of body parts. lol
, tell us how it turns out.
wow, my first post, hope it helps.

spindle lifts arn't much trouble. a hydraulic floor jack and a little brute strenght and some air tools are all you need. start in the morning so to give your self time in case you run into problems. if they don't seat right then don't hesitate to take them back to where you got them and tell them. when i bought my spindles from Camburg they looked fine, when they were installed it was found out that BullsEye had machined a couple of the holes wrong. my suggestion on 33's is to go and buy yourself some daystar 1.5 inch coil spacers. guaranteed no rubbing.
Hey CWA where you at in carlsbad i'm in encinitas just off Santa Fe drive. it would be cool to talk trucks with some other than my dumb friends who think that prerunner rangers are cool.

in reality i have a 7.5 inch lift with the 3 inch body, 3 inch spindles, and 1.5 inch daystar spacers. no rubbing except when i hit dips in the road faster than 30mph. i did do a little creative trimming though. with the 4.2 5speed, i drive it really slow a careful. if you have any other questions e-mail me at www.encinitas760@hotmail.com and i will answer your questions better than on this message board. i can tell you tips and tricks and things to look out for.
pat.

go witht he fabtech spindles. they are much more beefier. it took me and my body 45 minutes to put them on. but you also have to say we have had my front end and his front end torn apart about 4 times already , so we knew what we were doing. with the spindles and 285, there is no rubbing. i drive fast everywhere and it handles fine. and what ever you do, don't get a body lift. please don't, body lifts do nothing but screw stuff up. they don't inprove anything. just don't mess with them. i hope this helps
I put a Pro-Comp Spindle lift on my truck and added 33" Pro-Comp AT's amnd everything fit. A pic of my tuuck is

It took about 3hrs to do by myself. The only odd tool you'll need is a pitman-arm puller. Other than that a good set of sockets and you have what you need. If you have any questions, email me at coon64@hotmail.com
