Question Leveling Truck

I just replaced my broken torsion bar. But the right rear is still up in the air and my left front (driver side is down). I adjusted torsion bars but still have the same problem above. The truck sat there till I got the replacement part. Someone stated it might be the springs, which ones, rear leaf springs! Thanks in advance. Help.

Hey jbisted,

Are you certain you got the exact same replacement torsion bar? I'm pretty sure there are several different ones available for each of the different engines that are offered in the F-150. Also, the F-150 with the 7700 Lb payload package gets yet another variation of the front torsion bar spring. You may want to check and make sure that nothing else was damaged during and after the torsion bar failure.

Wrong Torsion Bar!!

To All this is a lesson learned. If you ever have to replace a torsion bar make sure it is for the side intended. Left and right side torsion bars are not interchangeable. My sister had ordered a torsion bar for me. I told her I needed driver side (left side) torsion bar. The Ford Dealer ordered the wrong side when she had told them it was for the left side. That's why I have had the problem of leveling truck. I took out and reinstalled torsion bar 3Xs and the torsion bar did not level or raised my truck to original specs.
I am a soldier in Germany and can't afford too many mistakes like that. I love to ride my truck in the autobahns in Germany. I have a superchip that allows me to bump past the 90MPH. Maybe that's how I blew the torsion bar; too much speed for this truck!!
