Question Fox Shocks

hello
im planning on getting the 7.5" fabtech lift on my 2001 f150. but i want to change out the fabtech shocks and install some fox shocks with a reservoir. I called fabtech for spec's and they laughed for some odd reason saying I would be calling back for replacing broken parts. I asked the sales assoc. what would go wrong , but he just said good luck. is there something I should know. im thinking it would be okay as long as everything matches up with the kit right?

thanks in advance for your input.

Are you going to change over to a coil over or do you just want a plain shock? If you want to switch to a coil over, I would suggest looking at Camburg

i saw a F150 with the full fabtech suspension kit with fox shocks. the shock had to be mounted on the upper comtrol arm and into the engine cage. the fox shocks wasent able to fit in stock location. these fabtech full kits doesnt seem really strong and kinda sucks with it max travel of what 7"s???. when i saw the fox shocks mounted on the upper control arm the shocks were super short and kinda funny looking but if ur not planning to baja the crap out of the truck then i guess its fine. here a pic of the truck i was looking at. its displayed at Off Road Unlimited and its on sale for $65000
