My driveway is on a slight incline. If I shake my truck a little bit (while im getting in or out) the leaf springs in the rear squeak like a bitch.

My truck was doing the same thing so i just had a friend bounce the truck and wow.....it was the front hanger for the leaf spring. I loosened up the bold a little and used a spray lube like wd40 or something like that. The squeek has stoped totally.

I too have the same problem. I have tried WD40, Lith-ease, and other penetrating oils. They work for a while but it always comes back. I tried to push back on the Ford dealer with out luck.

There has to be a more permanent fix for this. probably buying new leaf springs...

Check your U-bolts. If it is loose you will hear some squeeking when the truck is moving at low speeds; especially when reversing out of a parking spot/driveway. Don't forget, tighten in an X-pattern.

there is a tsb for the leaf spring squeak concern

what has happened during manufacture is that they used a lube to get the rubber insert over the hanger bolt the lube never dried so the spring end moved over the rubber insert and is rubbing against the hanger (Metal to metal)

in the tsb it says to use water when installing a new rubber insert so that once the water dries the insert won't move

good luck!

peace-
