Squeaky leafsprings!??
Squeaky leafsprings!??
Truck is @41,000 miles now and continues to have squeaky leaf springs.
Ford repacked and replaced the springs at 10,000 miles and even placed polyurethane pads at the ends of the springs.
They continued squeaking shortly after.
Mostly at low speeds over speed bumps and road imperfections or around corners when the body leans.
I've tried wd-40, silicon, grease...you name it.
I haven't tried to repack the springs, nor do I have the tools to
do so...and I no longer trust the local Ford dealer.
Any ideas or similar stories?

had what I would call a "clunk" in the rear that would occur after stopping and then starting again. I noticed it didn't do it when the truck had a load in the bed.
I installed a set of overload springs in order to actually haul something without it riding on the bump stops! Well, this seemed to cure the "clunk" I had AND it also stopped the wheel hop I had too.
This is an inside pic of the springs I have. Not sure if it'll do for you what it did for me.
