New lift from RCD

Found out that RCD is coming out with a new kind of lift. Right now they just have it for the Rangers that I'm aware of and I'm not even sure that has been realased yet. But its a coil-over shock setup with Bilstein shocks. I think they are 7100 series or so. This setup lets you get rid of the torsion bars, so now you can get a little more ground clearance in that area since you wouldn't have that cross member hanging down there. The kit is supposed to be completely bolt on. Don't know how true that is, but from the pictures it looks to be almost bolt on. Personally I like this setup alot just from looking at it. Follow the link to see pictures of it.

I took those pictures and spoke to RCD. I found out that they will be offering a 5.5" lift for Torsion bar equipped IFS Rangers. It will be about $1200-$1300. Thats all fine and Dandy, but I HATE torsion bars. For people like me, RCD is offering the same 5.5" lift, but with a major exception...

THE TORSION BARS ARE REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH BILSTEIN COIL-OVERS!!!!!!!!!!

That is what the Bilstein Ranger was equipped with and it looked AMAZING! I guess it wasn't even supposed to be at the show, but they just finished putting it together Thusday night and brought it out. The RCD guys said it rode great and would offer about 8-8.5" of front wheel travel. Awesome for IFS Rangers. This will set you back about $2000 retail, but that is still, in my mind, reasonable for what you get. It is supposed to be available in mid-December. Well, thats all I know for now.

2000 for 8 inches of travel and a coil-over-shock suspension? that is definitely worth it, as long as the quality is good!

Isn't that what I said up above that this new lift got rid of the torsion bars? But 8" of travel would be nice to have.
