Question Rancho RSX

Had my local Meinieke shop install the Rancho RSX shocks I purchased. I thought $40.00 to install them was a bargain.
But they did not tighten up the front shocks. So I am going to do it myself. The nut that screws down on the stud on top of the shock is acorn shaped. Which side goes down against the washer the flat side or the acorn side. I don't have the instructions they threw all that away. Thanks for the help.
