RC's 3in lift for 09-13 retrofit 04-08
Rough country has a kit out that provides three inches of suspension lift, new UCAs, shocks and struts. link below:

I own an 07 and I am wondering if anyone has attempted to put this RC kit on one before, or if anyone can provide more concrete evidence as to why it will not work.
I've contacted two ford dealers, one of which claimed the project should go without a bump and the other claiming the project will not work because of different part numbers. I have also contacted rough country, who claims the "strut hats" are different and therefor it will not work. I don't trust any of these baboons and don't want to give up my dream lift quite yet. No one can provide blueprints for their pieces, sadly, and I do not have an 09-13 that I could take some measurements from. I know the UCAs and shocks are interchangeable, I just need to find out about these struts...
arguments for why this should work: Motofab, and others, have a leveling kit for the 04-19, which shouldn't be possible if the struts aren't interchangeable, correct?

Struts are different...initial appearance shows the 04 has a slip on lower spring perch while the 09 has a welded on spring perch. Different stroke length, slightly different overall numbers....no clue where the spring heights are.
