What's the difference with the struts from 08-09? I have a 4" lift from rough country and would like to get rid of their spacer blocks. For the 09 they have a 4" lift shock that replaces the block and gives you longer travel. But not for my truck.
Also wouldn't a 4whell drive strut work?

 

2004-2008 was 11th generation, 2009-2014 was 12th generation. Apparently there are some differences.

No it's not sarcasm. Likely the bolt sizes and travel is different.
