17 f150 left front clunking noise when turning left

Hello. I tried searching and searching. Found a little info but no real resolution. I bought my 2017 f150 brand new. It's a screw, 4x4, sport pkg, 2.7. Now at 13k miles. Since around 3k miles, I get this intermittent left clunk noise when turning left and unloading the left side of the truck. It's far louder when turning left off a hill, but still does it mildly on most flat left turns. If I hit a good threshold pulling into a parking lot, it also makes all kinda noise.

I've had it to 3 local dealers, no one can find it. One dealer found my factory running board was loose, tightened it up and sent me packing. This is a 100% stock truck too.

Before I head back and start a fight, does anyone have or had a similar issue? Any resolution?

Really appreciate anyone's input.

Dan

Sounds like a tie rod issue.

I would try getting them to replace the inner and outers.

It's not like they are that expensive.

I have the same issue and it will get worse. Have a 2000 model and have replaced everything in the front except the ball joints for the steering. These are next, I would look into the same issue.

Just got my truck back after 2 days at the dealer. They were able to finally duplicate the noise after I explained how to do it. Ended up being a loose transmission mount. Banging noise is completely gone now and truck is quieter then ever.

In the entire 6 dealer trip visit search for this noise, they've now found a loose factory running board, loose a-arm bolts, and now a loose transmission mount. Wtf?

I know one thing, I can't wait to trade this truck in. This has been the worst vehicle experience for me. Brand new truck with a host of issues and recalls. My 10 year old Silverado with 100k was such a superior truck in every way (besides the interior).

Thx for those that gave ideas about the noise. I very much look forward to next summer when this thing gets traded.

Interesting...

Are you sure they aren't bogus fixes? Sometimes tech put things down to "appear" busy.

Anything these days will have a "host" of recalls and technical service bulletins. Trust me.

Otherwise, your F150 sounds pretty healthy and reliable.

Sounds like you got a truck that was one in 10,000. I have a 2000 model and just now having to replace front end items, etc. Wouldn't write off a whole brand for one truck.
