F250ld Gvwr???

Questions for extended cab, 4x4, short box F250LD owners.

What is a typical GVWR (in pounds) on your door spec plate??

Reason I ask is I want to upgrade my 97 F150. in need approx.
a 7000# GVWR. Was wondering if a 98-99 F250LD would be sufficient or will I have to go to a 00 F150 with 7700# package.

I apprecaite any info I can get form this great board.

thanks!

It's my understanding that the difference between the 1999 F-250LD and the 2000 F-150 7700 is the badges.

You are totally correct, the 250LD and the 7700 150 are exactly the same except of course the years model changes. 7700 lbs. is the GVWR, but for 2002, you can get a 4.10 ratio and it ups the GCWR to over 13,000lbs.

That's what I wanted to hear.
