Older arm replacement question

i am replacing my idler arm due to wear and was wondering do I need to place the truck on jacks to do this my truck is lifted so there is plenty of room, if it is pulled off will the truck collapse don’t want to get crushed.

2003 f150 2wd 4.6l v8

Nope, the A arms and springs support the truck.
