Difference of coilovers

So a coworker and I today were discussing the Billstein adjustable rideheight coil over kit. One of the things we noticed was the kit goes from 2009 till 2013. And then there is a kit for 2014 till 2016. So where is the difference in the coil overs? From what I can tell with the pictures from stage three motorsports there's no difference. Also if anyone has this kit on their truck is it better than doing a spacer on the top of the shock tower?

Thanks...

The lower mount for the strut on the lower control arm changed in 2014. Ford went from a horizontal thru bolt to a pair of bolts that top load through the control arm. This redesign carried through into the 2015+ trucks and thus why a set of '13 coilovers wont fit a 2014 truck.

092wd lift kit vs 07 2wd lift kit

I don't know where to ask this so I'm asking here. What is the difference in the suspension between a 2009 and 2007. I can find 2009 2wd lifts at half the cost as it would for my 2007. I have looked at the 2009 suspension and it looks identical to my 07 even the brakes look to be the same. Does anyone know if a suspension lift for a 09 2wd will work on a 07. I have been told yes and no. I found a 6 inch for a 09 for $900 and the cheapest I can find for my 07 is $1800!
