Camber bushings?

I have a question on a 1983 F150 4x4. I had to replace the ball joints after 300k miles and after two days of hammering, prying, swearing and bleeding I finally have the knuckle off and the new ball joints installed in it. My question is this. I have a Haynes and Chilton manual and both say to torque adjusting sleeve to set ball joint preload. The only thing on top is the camber bushing and it just sets around the ball joint stud. No threads, nothing that turns. Is this a step for a different front axle? Do I just skip it and torque the ball joints to spec like it says? I'm stumped on this one. I even bought the special spanner wrench before I started that the books said I needed to remove the adjusting sleeve and to be able to torque it back down but just hammering on the knuckle the camber bushing popped out. Any advice would be appreciated. This is my daily driver and I'm still just on the driver's side after two days.
