Wheel alignment after strut install

I plan on adding a 2.5 leveling kit to my truck soon and getting a wheel alignment. The truck has 98000 miles and I should change the strut soon but do I need to get a wheel alignment after changing struts?

If you change the coils yes, if it's just the strut then generally no. However, I'd just do it all at the same time to save on labor of tearing down the front end.

Thanks for the reply plan on doing the work myself and just doing the strut not the springs unless I should do the spring to newbie to the F150. Just planned on doing it in phase so I'm spending more all at once.

Was considering Rancho quick lift but some people talk about it not giving them 2.5 or sagging over time.

So I ordered the 2.5 leveling kit and monroe quick struts. So I can add the leveling kit and change struts then get a alignment. Might dig around the front end today and see if anything else might need replacing.

After the 2.5" spacer you'll need an alignment. Might want to at least do your upper ball joints as you have to remove those.

Also keep in mind the 2.5 level is going to change the angles of your suspension and put more wear and tear on parts. If you have the money and can do it yourself, I'd do upper and lower ball joints, inner and outer tierods and sway bar end links. Those are usually shot at your mileage anyway. Also inspect and replace bushings.

If you do replace parts, go with Moog problem solver. They have grease fittings and will last longer. However, they need to be greased every oil change.

Thanks for the info. Gonna price things out and see what I can get. I'm doing the work my self.
I need to upgrade my jack and jack stands. I only have the wimpy set right now not safe to work on a heavy truck.

I'm looking to replace most of the front suspension on my truck here in a week or two and found RockAuto has best prices on most parts. Just an FYI

Near 100k front struts, and all 4 ball joints are past their service life
