Hi everyone. Just thought I would report a recent interaction I had with this company. 1. Order shocks on 31 March. Recieved email confirmation of order and online their website shows order as processed. Checkout page also showed that parts would ship within 5 days. 2. I reached out to shockwarehouse.com by email on 13 April becuase I still have not recieved order, tracking info, or notice on back order. I repeat no notice of back order. 3. I was informed that parts were on back order and it would be a couple weeks. I replied to email saying that was ok, but asking for expedited shipping since I was never notified of the back order situation. I recieved no reply to email. 4. On 27 April I reached out again by email to ask of status. Was told they would now not ship until late May. 5. 01 May. I called shockwarehouse to inquire on status and potentially change parts to a different model that is in stock. Customer service representative told me that parts just hit their warehouse and would ship today or next business day. I say that is great! But then the problems start.... I asked for expedited shipping due to all the hassle up to this point. I was cut off mid sentence and told NO! I calmly restated all items as listed in bullet point 1 above and said free shipping would remedy this. Customer service rep abruptly and loudly cut me off again said "These shocks are like gold, we don't have to do anything to make you happy." He then stated "No company can provide accurate information to shipment of Bilstein products becuase No company really knows what is in their warehouseThat made me chuckle inside a bit as I work as a production manager in manufacturing. At this point I already decided I was cancelling this order regardless. I then made my 1 snide comment and said "I would say a company that doesn't know what is in their warehouse is a pretty poorly ran comany" Mr. Customer Service Rep then said "I AM CANCELLING YOUR ORDER. OFF" Click 6. His remarks in the cancellation email were "guy was a jackass" and good luck finding the product anywhere else. Well. There is my statement of facts. Take it for what you will. Thanks for listening

They were the front leveling 5100 struts for 2004-2008 F150. I checked a few sites and it did appear they were on nationwide back order.

The fact a product was on back order didn't bother me. The poor communication and pretentious attitude did.

Lack of backorder notice and poor communication is not a new issue with them.

I can't believe the dude said no company really knows what's in their warehouse. I wonder how the US military would run if I didn't know what equipment I had or better yet how many parts to planes were available.

"Excuse me sir, the F-22 just landed and after inspection the landing gear needs replacing."

"Understood. Contact the warehouse and get a replacement."

"Sir. I already did that and was told nobody really knows what's in that warehouse."

"Shut your butt...you're fired!"

Screw them, post this up on every forum that you are a member of.

I deal a lot with customer relations and you can politely tell people things that you cannot or will not do for them. They get pissed and they will still say that you were mean and nasty because that is how they interpret your words. They will tell other people and life goes on.

I suspect he was saying that no one knew what was in Bilstiens warehouse. There has been problems with backorders from them to the retailers for a long time. The problem is when the retailer fails to keep the customer informed as to what to expect.

So after reading another very similar review on yelp, I have determined that I actually was dealing with the owner.

I believe he actually was talking about his warehouse. He brought that up when I questioned him on why he doesn't alert customers of back order as other websites did. Pretty much, he was looking for a lame excuse.

I am in the market for some new shocks/struts. After reading your post, I will NOT be ordering from shockwarehouse.com. Zero excuse in treating people that way!
