2012 Leveling Kits NEED HELP!
2012 Leveling Kits NEED HELP!
Hey everyone I am new here and need some advice on which size leveling kit to go with on my 2012 SCREW 4x4. I just purchased the truck and don't know much about IFS suspensions, my last truck was a '79 F150 with 6" lift and 37" tires a long ways from a 2012.
My end game here is to fit either 275/70/18 or 285/70/18 with no rubbing or trimming, I'm not ready to go full suspension yet just want to get things leveled out and new tires/wheels for the time being.
I am looking at either the 2" or 2.5" Auto Spring full kit, any experience/photos/input here would be greatly appreciated. And I apologize in advance I know this has been a topic for discussion already and I have read many posts but wanted to jump in.
Thank you

How much rake does YOUR truck currently have? Put a tape up to it and find out before just blindly throwing a leveling kit at it.
Why you ask...because 275/70/18 fits a stock height truck. 285/70/18 (rare size by the way) would be fine with just a small 1.5" increase. Measuring your own truck is key however, because do you want it dead level unloaded or have a touch a rake so when you are carrying items in the bed you aren't nose high?
Also, remember an alignment is key. Also you should re-aim your headlights.
