SKYJACKER...don't buy

Background: In 2011 ordered 6" Skyjacker lift from Skyjacker themself. Front crossmember middle bolt bracket was incorrect (bracket and bolt hole are off by 2"). Spoke with skyjacker customer service mutiple times and they just kept giving me the run around. Then finally they came out and suggested just cut tabs off or take to a shop and have bracket extenders added (on my own dime). So Skyjacker admits that the part is incorrect but is unwilling to fix under lifetime warranty. Then I filed a BBB claim. Skyjacker responded, admitting part was incorrect and that they have redesigned part to correct issue but are still unwilling to send corrected part under warranty. Really? What a crappy company. Do not use. Go with Rize, BDS, Fabtech, Procomp; just go with anyone else please. Dont fall victim to a company who doesnt stand behind their warranty.

And to make it better. For the first 2 yrs I was dealing with this issue Skyjacker just kept telling me that I had the only 2004-2008 F150 with this crossmember problem. Then they redesigned crossmeber without middle bolt bracket, finally they admit that product was not correct and due to so many F150 crossmember variances we (skyjacker) redesigned crossmember. But still unwilling to correct problem. Also went through 5 Skyjacker front shocks (garbage) before I gave up on them and went with Bilstiens.

Good rant. Thanks for posting about your experience with Skyjacker. I'll look elsewhere for my parts.

Bad customer service will ruin your business in the 21st. century. Skyjacker could have easily handled the issue.

Completely agree with both points. Th fact that Skyjacker didn't attempt to correct this situation speaks volumes about their poor customer service and their apparent lack of concern for their own reputation.
