I have a 6in bds suspension lift on my 09 Ford F-150 fx4. Unfortunately, the bds shocks haven't impressed me and one has gone bad with only 25k miles on truck after install. I'm looking into new shocks and hear the bilstein 5100(?), and pro comp are very good shocks. Problem is, bds shocks have the full range for the lift. Other shocks need the 6in spacer in order to fit. Not sure others experience with shocks but I'm curious which set up would be better...back to bds shock and hope for longer life? Or the 6in spacer with the 5100 or pro comp shock? Pro comp has a life time warranty so leaning more towards them but not impressed on adding a spacer...I've alwat learned, more parts equals more to break. Opinions please? Thanks in advance!
