Where to measure for leveling?

Did a search using "measure" as search parameter. Came back with way too many threads. Where is a reliable place to measure to determine leveling requirements?

Measure from the lip of the wheel to the fender on all four corners with the vehicle on a level surface and ideally a 1/2 tank of fuel. There will be a little variance, so take the average of the rear and the average of the front to determine the difference.

If you're a little in-between, err on the side of caution and go smaller. The higher the nose sits compared to the rear, the worse the steering will feel.
