Rear block and Longer Shocks

Hello,

I have an 05 2WD with bilstein 5100 fro 2WD on all four, 2 inch spacer in front in stock setting to level the truck.

The other day I just added a 1.5 block to get some rake back and now the truck rides rough since i added the block. It seems that the rear is all over the place in not so smooth road.

Some member says it did not affect their ride using the stock shock on 2WD and some says you can go more than 2" on stock shocks but not in my case.

I noticed that after the block install i have to raise the axle to reach the shocks to put in the nut, not like when i put the new shocks 2 months ago that i have to compress the shock to install.

Did i top out my new shocks and will the Bilstein 4X4 shocks solve my issue? or any other shocks recommendation?

Thanks in advance

That's odd. The stock shocks on my 2WD '06 took 2" rear without a problem. I would think shocks designed specifically for a 4x4 with the rear blocks might solve problem. But to my knowledge, the shocks that came from factory on the 2x4 and 4x4 were the same.

KMAC0694 are you saying that the factory shocks on 2X4 and 4X4 are the same height? I also thought that my shock will took the 1.5 block with no problem. Could be the bilstein?

Thanks

Yes, that's what I think. I could, of course, be wrong though.
