Suspension issue..help please

I have a 98 F150 2wd. I just replaced rear leaf springs, outer tie rod ends, and sway bar links. I am still having the same issue when going over bumps. When I am turning and going over bumps, the truck feels like it fishtails a little bit. Hard to explain but it feels like the back end slides left and right around corners only when hitting bumps and going over 30. When going straight, I dont notice it. Could it be bad shocks? Any ideas or things to check would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Shocks look ok, not leaking or anything. The truck has 220000 miles. Thanks in advance

If those are factory shocks, replace them. At over 200k there where gone a long time ago.

New shocks all the way around will make a world of difference. I didn't realize how bad mine were till I replaced them around 125k on general principle.

I'm showing my age - I remember when the average useful life of shocks was about 25k.................

Man I really need to start buying quality shocks if you can get 125k out of them, I barely got around 30k out of my last set haha.

Those were the OEM's - but remember, I have a relatively light 2wd truck and I stay away from rough roads and don't offroad it at all.

Yea I don't offroad, but all the streets where I live are pretty much the equivalent of being offroad.

is there a way to determine if they are bad without removing them first? If I push on bumper, the truck does not bounce and it feels pretty stiff. not sure what other checks i can do.

It's gonna take more than just pushing down on the bumper.. Jumping on the bumper would work however.

i figured the leaf springs would limit the pushing down. the shocks are not leaking but could there be another test to check? sounds like I may just be replacing them this weekend anyways!! Thanks for all the help.
