Question 2000 4x4 f150 lift! Help me out!?

Hello I have a 2000 v8 5.4 4x4... I already have the torsion bars cranked and it could fit 33s. I was wondering if I got a 5" rough country lift and bush wackier fender flairs could I fit bigger tires then 35s? I know they don't make them for my flair side truck but theirs a member on her that shaved them and they worked!

(EITHER WAY I WANT THOSE FENDER FLAIRS)

Or option 2... Is to get at 5" rough country and a 2" body lift. What's bad about a body lift and once again with these flairs what size tires would fit with this 7" lift.

THANKYOU and feel free to look at pics of my truck on my profile!

Please post your thoughts and comments (I don't know alot about trucks so please don't rip on me to hard )

Anything bigger than 35's would require a gear change. So add prob another $800+ for front n rear diff gears n labor.

What wheels are you going to be using? That'll determine how big of a tire you can run.

I had a 03 Flareside4x4 with no lift and ran 33's with no issues at all. A 4" lift should easily clear 35's. I would go Rough Country 6" to make sure though.

4 should get you there easy. I ran 35s on my f1 with stock wheels for a while. no need for a body lift.

Also flairs aren't going to allow for a bigger tire, even the cutout flairs. There's still the inner fender metal that's in the way.

Funny you said that. I absolutely hateee that inner fender. You see the razor blade edge on that pinch? Jesus.. I have huge slice in my tire from when I tucked and it cut into it.

With that said I don't think he would hit unless we was turned. I know I only hit when fully tucked and that's a lot of up travel for a lift

I used to hit on mine when turned and going over speed bumps going slow, but never hard enough to cut the tire, just enough for the annoying sound though haha.
