squeaky suspension.

I've got a '98 150 that's all stock except the k&n intake. I've replaced the tie rod end links already and that fixed the rattling I had. This was a while back. Now I'm having a lot of squeaking when driving down my dirt road or going over some rough areas in the woods. Could this just be from dirt and sand in the undercarriage or should I start saving some money for some new suspension parts? I've got a leveling kit that I need to put on but I've kept putting it off seeing as I know very little about suspensions. All help is very much appreciated.

It could be ball joints, away bar end links, any part of the steering, the tailgate, leaf springs, coil in the coil pocket, etc.

I know what you mean about that leaf spring squeak. That bugged the hell out of me at one time. Cheap fix tho.

Leveling kit? Is it a 4wd?

If it's the front end, - ball joints most likely. Upper/lower. Very easy to replace.

The tailgate bugged me for the longest time on my truck. Ended up putting some grease in the part it pivots on and kept the squeak out for about half a year.

It is a 2x4. I bought the Daystar leveling kit over 2 years ago but never got around to installing it. I believe its the front end that is squeaking bad but it could be the rear too. And I made a typo, I replaced the sway bar end links not tie rod end links. The rubber was completely gone on both sides so I put the Polly bushings in, but that was a year or so ago. This has just recently started, at least my noticing it about two weeks ago.
