Axle on 4x4

I've got a 1998 ext cab 4x4 and i thinking of doing a solid front axle swap and putting the front and rear on triangulated four links with coil overs i hav eno problem with the fab work for the 4 links but i dont know what axle to use any ideas ive seen alot of kits use a dana 44 but out of what and what year? also im not so sure that a 44 will handle the 44's im planning on running.

I'd say one tons with 44's, better to have it and not need it than wish you did it after something breaks.

Just get some Dana 60's and call it a day, and they'll handle it. Just search for old 1 tons, late 70s Fords. What are you gonna be doing with the truck? 44's would probably be alright if you weren't off roading frequently

44s on a full size, you should run a 1-ton frontend.

Which particular Dana 60 will depend on which side your transfer case output is (or will be...if you swap T-cases.)

Fords are driver drop.
GMs are passenger drop.
