Common Cost of Leveling Kit?

Hey guys and gals, I wanted to get a general consensus here. Since I'm inept at installing anything on my suspension (leveling kit), how much should and install cost me based on a general rate w/alignment? Will also help if some of you would be willing to share how much you spent on something similar or the same. Thanks

It should cost you around $400 installed with the alignment.

I am glad I don't live in Florida... My 2" AS cost me $105 plus $30 per wheel installed, alignment was $60, and that comes to $225 at Les Schwab, a Pacific Northwest Tire & Brake Store... I forgot to mention, no sales tax in Oregon... Good luck...

I think I paid $350 when I had mine done at 4WheelParts. 2" AS.

So based on what I've read, in comparison, the price I got quoted is really cheap. A local tire shop I live near (independent Firestone dealer) me said they could do It for about $260 w/alignment. I already have the kit, so I feel somewhat fortunate for that. I feel bad for some of you who paid more than $400 for install. I think at that point I'd rather just throw money out the window while driving.

$260 is a good price. Shops generally charge 2-3 hours to get it done, plus alignment. For my shop, that'd be $280-380.

Honestly it aint hard at all of an install...alignment should be 80 bucks....so paying any more than that would be like throwing money out the window....

Cool

Recently I've been thinking about maybe doing a leveling kit on mine. Still not sure if I will. I'm concerned about ride quality and if I raise her up any higher it may make it too difficult for me to climb up in her. On some days now I have difficulty. But I do like the look. I was wondering myself about the cost of an install. For me, it's not that I'm inept, but that I am physically not able to. Having several bad discs in my back just makes it too much of a risk for me. I still have some thinking to do.....

I do appreciate the feedback from you guys. And Scarlet, don't risk your health over something that "looks good", not worth it in my opinion. But if you want to, then do it. But I will say that it won't be that much higher off the ground, just a few inches depending on which size you get. Hope that helps in your decision.

A local Ford dealer quoted me $315 for the install and alignment (that does not include the cost of the kit). Local to the Memphis, TN area.
