That sounds like a good plan! And that's how almost everyone starts out. It's certainly the path I'm on lol

What is a reasonable cost to install a auto spring kit? Ford's gonna charge an arm and leg for it but that really the only place around here that can.

With an alignment your looking at roughly 200+.

I would budget at least $320+ with alignment if the shop says 3 hours of labor. I'd try to get them to do it for 2 hours though. Also, you can't really install a level incorrectly, if you want to do it yourself.

I had my shop do an alignment and they had to rotate my tires because of uneven wear (tires had 2,500 miles on them and they did the first alignment when I put my new wheels and tires on) and they didn't tighten my lug nuts. 5 from the right side fell off, 3 of 6 on the front wheel were gone. Not to over react, but if I hadn't noticed (2 days after the alignment), I could've died. That's why I'd rather do anything I can myself. Shops give me no peace of mind.
